CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Below are the Career and Technical Education Annual Notice, Continual Notice, and Need for Language Assistance Notice. These notices state that all vocational opportunities will be offered without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age.

ESSA HAWAII QUALIFIED TEACHER

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides parent(s)/guardian(s) of a HIDOE student, the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teacher(s) and if the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so their qualifications. Federal law allows you to ask for certain information about your child’s classroom teacher(s) and paraprofessional(s) and requires us to give you this information in a timely manner upon request.

TECHNOLOGY RESPONSIBLE USE FORMS/GOOGLE APPS FORM

Each student and his or her parent(s)/guardian(s) (“parent” or “parents”) must review the Technology Responsible Use Guidelines for digital devices, network, and internet services owned or leased by the Hawaii State Department of Education for its students, known as “Technology Responsible Use Guidelines” or “TRUG”, and sign this “Technology Responsible Use Form” or “TRUF” for access to digital devices, internet and network services, including online educational services. 

WEAPON FREE SCHOOL ZONE

Should a student bring a firearm to school, he/she will be dismissed for one calendar year.  Only the Superintendent of Education, on a case-by-case basis, may modify a student's dismissal.
